Since 2015, a gradual integration project in Poland has brought together a highly diverse renewable portfolio. Over time, 40 parks with a combined capacity of 200 MW – including wind, solar, and hydro – have been connected under a single platform.
The challenge has been significant. Different technologies and communication protocols have had to be integrated, while operators have faced data complexity from various data sets. On top of that, fragmented control, monitoring, and reporting across so many assets have limited efficiency and transparency.
The centralized SCADA software, the OneView® Portfolio SCADA, has been the answer. It has offered one central solution to monitor, control, and analyze performance across the entire portfolio – and in that way turning scattered systems into streamlined operations.
Centralized SCADA software built for hybrid portfolios
By unifying diverse assets under one system, the project has created tangible benefits for operators and asset managers:
Seamless integration
The software offers an integrated production view across wind, solar, and hydro assets, allowing for consistent oversight of the entire portfolio.
Tailored views
The solution features specialized alarm and event notification capabilities, specifically designed for hydro generators, dams, and spillways to enhance safety and responsiveness.
Centralized control
Central access to start and stop assets, including third-party integrations, gives operators more control from a single platform.
This case highlights how portfolio-level centralized SCADA software can transform fragmented renewable assets into streamlined and efficient operations.
