For offshore wind operators, the end of an OEM warranty period marks more than a contractual milestone. After the initial warranty period, the operator needs to take the wind park into its own operations, requiring confidence that the systems, processes, and documentation are ready for day-to-day operations.
As more wind parks approached this transition, the operator needed assurance that each site could be operated independently. A long list of outstanding issues, unresolved OEM claims, incomplete deliveries, and limited visibility into the OT environment made it difficult to assess operational readiness and confidently take over responsibility.
